Joining VIPOC (Vitiligo International Patient Organization Committee) as a member provides an opportunity to be part of a global community dedicated to advocating for vitiligo patients. However, before being accepted into the membership, we review each application to ensure alignment with the mission and goals of the organization.
Common reasons for membership rejection include:
- You are not currently involved in vitiligo advocacy or leadership roles, which is a key focus for VIPOC members.
- Your experience or involvement in vitiligo-related activities does not meet the requirements for active participation in our global advocacy initiatives.
- You are unable to commit to the responsibilities expected of a VIPOC member, such as attending meetings or contributing to projects.
- VIPOC is primarily led by individuals with vitiligo, ensuring that patient perspectives remain central to its mission and initiatives.
- Your background or interests are not aligned with VIPOC’s goals of supporting vitiligo patients and advancing global awareness.
If your application is rejected, you are welcome to update your profile or involvement with vitiligo advocacy and reapply. Depending on the reason for rejection, there may be a waiting period before you can resubmit your application, ranging from 1 to 6 months.
Feel free to reach out to membership@vipoc.org for more details regarding your application status.
