About Movimiento vitiligan
David is a vitiligo activist from Mexico dedicated to supporting individuals living with vitiligo through online community engagement and peer support initiatives. As an active advocate, he works to create welcoming spaces where individuals can connect, share experiences, and access encouragement throughout their vitiligo journey.
He manages and participates in several WhatsApp and Facebook communities, including Movimiento Vitiligan and Hablando Acerca del Vitíligo. These groups focus on emotional support, practical guidance, and helping people better understand and cope with vitiligo in daily life.
Through these platforms, David has built meaningful connections with individuals and small communities across Latin America, helping raise awareness and promote a more informed and positive perspective on vitiligo, particularly within Spanish-speaking audiences.
His work also supports inclusion, visibility, and stronger regional connections among people living with vitiligo. By using digital communities as a tool for support and advocacy, he continues to expand access to shared knowledge and community care.
As an affiliate member of the VIPOC network, David contributes to the global mission of strengthening patient voices, increasing awareness, and expanding support for people living with vitiligo across Latin America and beyond.
